If elected to Saskatoon city council, would you support a city bylaw that would ban the use of pesticides for cosmetic purposes on all city and private property?
NO YES NO NO YES UNDECIDED
COMMENTS: I believe that reducing use of cosmetic pesticides is beneficial to a community’s health and I am not opposed to a ban of cosmetic pesticides. I also believe that public education is likely to have as much of an impact on public behaviour, especially in terms of pesticide use on private property. I would therefore be interested in expanding education efforts, including information about alternate methods of yard and garden maintenance, in conjunction with or in advance of any new bylaw dealing with cosmetic pesticide use. This approach would ensure that the public is aware of associated risks as well as alternate interventions.
