COMMENTS: Yes, I wholeheartedly support a smoking ban on all of the listed outdoor areas. AS the sponsor of the original Council resolution to ban smoking in confined spaces back in the early 80’s, I am very pleased to see that smoking bans may now be extended to outdoor spaces. And a gentle reminder to everyone, smoking kills.

If elected to Saskatoon city council, would you support a city bylaw that would ban the use of pesticides for cosmetic purposes on all city and private property?
NO YES NO NO YES UNDECIDED
COMMENTS: I can’t answer either yes or no since my response would be “not at this time”. I believe there needs to be public dialogue about this important measure, which, in time, I do support. However, it is imperative to achieve widespread public acceptance of this measure, and that needs to start with an education and awareness campaign about the problems with the use of pesticides for cosmetic purposes. Meanwhile, we can all do our part, as I do, by voluntarily ceasing to use pesticides in our yards.
